Difference between Algae and Fungi

1. Algae are auto-trophic. Fungi are hetero-trophic.

2. Most of the algae are aquatic. Most of the fungi are terrestrial.

3. In algae, the cell wall is made-up of cellulose. In fungi, the cell wall is made-up of chitin.

4. Algae contain starch as a stored food material. Fungi contain glycogen and oil as a stored food material.
