Distinguish, differentiate, compare and explain what is the Difference between First angle projection and Third angle projection. Comparison and Differences.

Difference between First angle projection and Third angle projection

1. In First angle projection, object is kept in the first quadrant. In Third angle projection, object is assumed to be kept in the third quadrant.

2. In first angle projection, object lies between observer and the plane of projection. In third angle projection, plane of projection lies between the observer and the object.

3. In first angle projection, the plane of projection is assumed to be non-transparent. In third angle projection, the plane of projection is assumed to be transparent.

4. In first angle projection, Front (elevation) view is drawn above the XY line. In third angle projection, Front (elevation) view is drawn below the XY line.

5. In first angle projection, Top (plan) view is drawn below the XY line. In third angle projection, Top (plan) view is drawn above the XY line.

6. In first angle projection, Left view is projected on the right plane and vice versa. In third angle projection, Left view is projected on the left plane itself.

7. First angle projection is followed in India and in European countries. Third angle projection is followed in USA.
