Difference between Myopia and Hypermetropia

1. In Myopia, person can see nearby objects but not faraway objects. In Hypermetropia, person can see faraway objects but not nearby objects.

2. Myopia is called short sightedness. Hypermetropia is called long sightedness

3. Myopia is caused by elongation of eye ball or greater convergence by eyes. Hypermetropia is caused by shortening of eye ball or less convergence of light by eyes.

4. Myopia is corrected by concave less. Hypermetropia is corrected by convex lens.
