Difference between Vaccine and Antibiotics

1. Vaccines are the suspension of weakened living or killed microbes of same disease against which the human body is to be protected or immunized. Antibiotics are organic substances produced by living micro-organisms. An antibiotic may be used against more than one disease.

2. Vaccines are given to develop resistance or immunity of are body against certain diseases. Antibiotics are used to inhibit the growth or to kill pathogenic microbes.

3. Vaccines are used before the appearance of diseases in order to prevent them for their occurrence. Antibiotics are given after the appearance of disease or infection for controlling it.
