Difference between Weathering and Erosion

Weathering is the breaking up of rocks in smaller pieces due to change in the weather conditions. There are mechanical, chemical and organic weathering processes.

Erosion is the removal of part of land surface by the agents of currents such as, wind, water, or ice. These agents transport eroded material from one place to another.
