Distinguish, differentiate, compare and explain what is the difference between height of instrument method and rise and full method.

Difference between Height of Instrument Method and Rise and Full Method

1. The Height of Instrument Method is more rapid as it involves few calculations. Rise and Full Method is laborious,as it involves several calculations.

2. The Height of Instrument Method is less tedious and simple. Rise and Full Method is more tedious and typical.

3. There is no check on the R.L. of intermediate points in Height of Instrument Method. There is a check on the R.L. of intermediate points in the Rise and Full Method.

4. In Height of Instrument Method, Errors in intermediate R.L. can be detected. In Rise and Full Method, Errors in intermediate R.L. can he detected.

5. There are two check on the R.L. calculations in Height of Instrument Method. There are three check on the RI calculations in the Rise and Full Method.

6. It is suitable, where it is required to take a number of readings from the same instrument setting such as for profile leveling in Height of Instrument Method. It is suitable for fly leveling aim there are no intermediate sights in the Rise and Full Method.
