Difference between internal and external fertilization

1. Internal fertilization involves the fusion of the male and the female gamete inside the female bogy. External fertilization involves the fusion of the male and the female gamete outside the female body.

2. Chances of the survival or the offspring are more in the internal fertilization, so therefore, a small number of eggs are produced. Chances of survival of the offspring are less in external fertilization, so therefore, a large number of eggs are produced.

3. Humans, cows, hens are organisms showing internal fertilization. Fish, frog are organisms snowing external fertilization.
