Distinguish, differentiate, compare and explain what is the difference between uniform and nonuniform motion in physics.
Comparison and Difference between uniform and nonuniform motion
- Uniform motion travels an equal distance in an equal interval of time. Non-uniform motion travels unequal distance in equal interval of time.
- The distance time-graph for a body having a uniform motion is a straight line. The distance-time graph for a body having a nonuniform motion is a curved line.
- The Example of Uniform motion: a car moving at a constant speed at 10m/s i.e. it means car covers equal distance of 10m in the equal time of one second.
The Example of Non-uniform motion: the motion of a free falling body.
